The House to Myself!

Wow this feels so weird.  Got up, made Aaron his lunch and sent him off to work, now what to do with myself?  The possibilities are endless, especially since I'm feeling really good today (3 days in a row yay!). Before I can get to any crafting or sewing projects I need to finish cleaning and organizing my house so I think that is the plan for today (and maybe tomorrow, lol).  I promise more exciting things are to come.

Some Upcoming Activities:
1)  I must make a casserole, this is high on my list of activities for next week.  This will be my first casserole, and hopefully not the last.  If anyone has any good recipes send them my way.
2)  Candle Making.  We have been collecting our beeswax with the intention of making candles but have only made wax bricks thus far.  A trip to Joanne's sometime this week for wicks and molds and then its game time.

Old But Ongoing Projects:

Garden:  Thank you binghams for the strawberry plants.  I planted them last night (while battling the mosquitoes),  The garden is doing ok.  Would have been better had I been more patient and worked some fertilizer into the soil before planting and if it wasnt so hot and sunny right after I transplanted.  But we will def have tomatoes.

Bees:  Aaron checked the Queens that he grafted yesterday with the Rose's and he says that he is very happy.  8/13 have survived, now to see how many make it to hatching day.

Getting Started

Well it is true, the hardest thing is getting started.  I've been creating this blog for the past 2 hours more as a means of procrastination than anything else.  My bedroom is a mess, my guest room is a mess, the laundry needs to be done, the sink is full of dishes, and I still need to plant 2 rows of lettuce in my garden.  Aaron is out in the garage with friends building bee stuff :)  Today he tries his hand at grafting queens, which is really cool, but not something I want to do.

Well anyways, Im excited about sharing my new adventures in domestic 101.  Im hoping to post all of my adventures including pictures, recipes, crafts, and more.
